When UOL Group Limited engaged Cadigal in 2025 to manage the renewal, we approached the assignment with a distinct advantage.
In 2018, Cadigal secured Mastercard’s commitment to 72 Christie Street, leasing the whole building (12,000sqm). This history gave Cadigal a very strong understanding of the tenant’s requirements, their relationship with the asset, and what it would take to retain them.
The renewal process was competitive and contested. Mastercard had actively explored alternatives across the market, with several well-credentialled options under consideration. Retaining them required more than just familiarity, but a compelling, evidence-based case for why 72 Christie Street remained the right long-term decision.
The outcome was a further 5 + year commitment over 7,500sqm.
