Originally providing temporary accommodation to nurses from the Sydney Hospital, heritage listed 42 Young Street comprises two of the four Young Street Terraces. Restored in 1995, these heritage-listed terraces are now successfully utilised as commercial office space in the ever-evolving CBD Core/Circular Quay precinct.

Property Location

The Young Street Terraces, located on the corner of Bridge & Young Street, are the only Sydney CBD buildings that remain in-situ from the first Government House site.

Originally opening in 2016 as a pop-up in Surry Hills, Toko Owner, Matt Yazbek, launched Cubby’s Kitchen in a new home in the Sydney CBD with his two sisters in 2018. The venue name derives from Yazbek’s mother Mouna whose nickname happens to be Cubby and the restaurant is an ode to their family’s heritage.
